So at this point I sincerely hope we see more added to the game over time since it has a lot of potential. The publishers of Spintires were denying payment and development privileges to the developers thus they had to rebrand and re-release it to have the rights to update and profit from it. It has to be note though, while it would be very easy to penalise it for largely being the same game, the history of why this had to happen makes all the difference. It may sound boring but you could easily get tens of hours of gameplay out of this depending on how difficult you make it for yourself. the fun all comes in planning your routes, moving your resources and praying that you don't sink your vehicles in either mud or rivers. The map is obscured with a fog of war which can be removed by driving to specific locations on the map, there are vehicles spawns to unlock the use of, each map will come with its own logistical problems of fuel, mud, water etc. You spawn in a map at a garage with whatever vehicles you choose and from there it's really up to you what you do next. For anyone unfamiliar with Spintires, it is a simulator / driving game where you engage in the role of a log transport across difficult terrain. The thing is though that Spintires as a game anyway was a fairly fun and suspenseful game so re-releasing it will have the same amount of satisfaction. Large amounts of the game are pretty much unchanged, the maps are the same, all the vehicles are the same with some new additions that aren't that significant. review section- I feel somewhat conflicted about my review of Mudrunner, mostly because it's so similar to the original Spintires that it almost feels like a scam to sell it as a new game. No effort made for other achievements unless unlocked via natural play. Probably the main reason to buy Spintires: MudRunner if you already owned the wonderful original is the prospect of ongoing support, of what the game might become under the stewardship of publishers who aren't publicly feuding with the game's creator.
